Product Performance -
Acoustical Value: Controlling sound and noise transmissions through walls, ceilings, and floors can be a complex challenge in designing and building a project. UltraTouch offers an extremely high Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) to effectively reduce airborne sound transmissions.
UltraTouch natural fibers contain excellent sound absorbing qualities while the patented manufacturing process creates a three-dimensional substrate infrastructure that effectively traps, isolates, and controls sound waves. The result is a quiet, comfortable environment between rooms, walls, and floors.
Thermal Properties: UltraTouch provides maximum R-Value performance. The unique construction of the material has thousands of tiny air pockets that work to maintain a strong barrier of protection, even in extreme temperature changes. UltraTouch density also contributes to providing a consistent thermal performance day-in and day-out.
Health & Safety -
Mold Resistance: Every natural fiber used to manufacture UltraTouch is treated with an EPA registered, non-toxic, borate solution and then "flash dried" in our manufacturing process, offering complete organic-growth protection. Borates are a safe and effective natural biostat that actively inhibit mold, mildew, bacteria, and fungi growth. UltraTouch's borate solution also acts as an excellent fire retardent and pest inhibitor, an added value toward protection from termite infestation.
Air Quality: UltraTouch contains no chemical irritants and requires no carcinogenic warning labels compared to traditional insulation products. UltraTouch will not generate harmful airborne particulates that can enter your living areas or surrounding environment. UltraTouch creates no VOC or out-gassing concerns, and does not contain formaldehyde resin or silica-based fibrous glass.
Occupational Hazards: UltraTouch does not itch and produces no skin irritation. It is safe to handle and install without the need for air-purifying respiratory gear and protective clothing. Installation of UltraTouch products reduce the risk of extended exposure limits and the potential for related respiratory illness.
UltraTouch recently passed the extremely stringent Environmental Specification 1350 Indoor Air Pollutant Testing Standard used for California Public Schools.
